She received her undergraduate degree in Human Biodynamics (Integrative Biology) from the University of California, Berkeley; and attended Washington University School of Medicine for her Master of Science in Physical Therapy.  She has been working in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine in downtown Chicago for over 2 decades, and has now transitioned to make Austin, Texas her new home!  Lisa’s lifelong commitment to learning can be seen in her continuing education efforts taking courses well above and beyond what is needed to maintain licensure, with a heavy emphasis on manual therapy intervention and techniques. She has treated the typical orthopedic and post-surgical population, but has additional training and specialized in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction (women’s health), spine rehabilitation, visceral manipulation, headaches, TMJ dysfunction, vestibular dysfunction, and concussions.  She has completed two separate manipulative therapy certifications and two separate dry needling certifications.

Lisa is an active mom to two young boys, wife to her husband of 20 years, and general CEO of the household which involves being a dog-walker, chef, referee, piano teacher, cheerleader, laundry maven, and chief boo-boo kisser.  She enjoys an active lifestyle including running, weight training, and anything that involves making fitness and wellness part of daily life.  On days off you will find her biking with her kids to the farmers market, exploring new running trails and groups around Austin, cooking up a storm in the kitchen for her friends and family, or exploring Austin’s restaurants with her husband and any foodie friends she can find.
